Maybe that would work any other time of the year, but in the middle of summer?

I must admit that I hadn't thought of that. I've generally retreated to the bush in the past.

Thanks Thomas. You've conviced me. I was a little unsure, but I won't book those boat tickets back home after all.

Do we need another import?

A while back I would have said NO... indigenous voices connect with indigenous people, after all...

but my view has changed... we live in a "salad bowl" where everything (everybody) adds value in their unique way. Adding a new veg or fruit (or in your case a NUT [insert whatever to show this is a joke]) may seem strange at first but then... after a while... it will become part of the salad.

Imports bring new flavours to the salad... and that must be a good thing. New angles... New approaches... Must connect to people who have heard the old voices and switched off.

Hope this makes sense? God has put you where you are for a reason.

Thanks David for the warm welcome!

I figure that while there are people out there who need Jesus, then we need all the help we can get. Just count me in as a co-worker - and a friend.

Matt, I don't know who you are and why you've decided to spread the "gospel" in parts of Melbourne.

Hasn't Melbourne enough churches with enough people to do this work? Why do we need another import?

Oh, and Matt, since we're still on friendly terms, I wish you a happy new year. (Friendly terms - we'll soon fix that!)
